Grow Smarter’s Districts and Corridor Development Workgroup aims to promote coordination and resource sharing between St. Petersburg’s various designated district and corridor regions.

As of 2019, St. Petersburg has seven arts districts as well as seven development districts. This year, workgroup discussions including the importance of bicycle infrastructure, multimodal street networks, the Tropicana Field site, and coastal high hazard areas.

One of this workgroup’s top priorities is the exploration of possible transit expansion such as an expanded rapid bus line and the extension of the successful Downtown Looper to help provide cheaper and more frequent modes of transportation between the districts and corridor areas. These priorities will be further explored in 2020.
